FABRICATION :

AYTB has state of the art Pipe Spool Fabrication Facilities both in Jubail and Yanbu. These facilities bring many of the latest "International" technologies to Saudi Arabia.

Engineering: AYTB is using the Acorn Software, ISO-EXPRESS, to develop, track and control the process flow of all pipe spools that go through the shop. This software was selected because of its ability to provide an integrated Bar Code system, cut sheets, pipe spooling, material control, quality control, etc.

Computerized Cutting: AYTB has installed two separate cutting systems that use a common discharge conveyor that will deliver the cut lengths to any bay as required. One system is the Vernon computer-operated 2-axis cutting machine that uses the Plasma cutting process while the other system is the Vernier cutter, manufactured by Vernon, using an abrasive cutting and grinding process.

Fabrication: The Fabrication area contains highly skilled craftsmen qualified to utilize multiple welding procedures that partially assemble the cut pieces of piping with the pipe fittings into sub assemblies which are then sent to the "weld out" areas for final welding.

Welding: The welding area is fully equipped with computer operated welding machines, rotating head stock welding equipment and conventional welding equipment. The welding processes used are GTAW, SMAW, MIG, STT, FCAW, and SAW. This automation is designed to increase productivity while resulting in higher quality and fewer repairs. This combination of welding processes can manufacture approximately 700,000 to 800,000 Diameter-Inches of fabricated pipe spools for the Jubail Shop and 250,000 to 300,000 Diameter-Inches per year for the Yanbu Shop.

Quality: AYTB is working under the ISO 9002 Quality Management System approved by ABS Industrial Verification, Inc. which conducts the periodic audit to check the smooth function of the system. In addition AYTB has been issued with ASME certificate of authorization and Code stamps for "A", "U", "S", "PP", with "R" Code stamp for the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors and American Petroleum Institute (API) license for specification 6A and 16A.

PWHT: AYTB performs all of its Post Weld Heat Treatment.

TECHNICIANS: Highly skilled technicians include welders for stainless steel, carbon steels, alloy steels and special metals like aluminum, titanium, incoloy, monel, nickel, chromium, chrome-moly, cupro-nickel, etc.
